Even though Google+’s numbers continue to skyrocket, it appears that the brand engagement has not. A new article from Reuters shows that Google+ is struggling to attract brands and that many neglect to ever update the platform. Of the top 100 brands that Reuters analyzed, 72 of them did indeed have a Google+ page, but only 40% of the 72 ever post content periodically. It appears that McDonalds, has not even shared one single post on Google+.
Many argue that their customers aren’t necessarily on Google+, but instead they are flocking to YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.
