Many of you are now starting to realize the importance of search marketing and social media as part of your insurance marketing strategy. We see it everyday in new web sites that are fully optimized, people connecting to me on LinkedIn and friending me on Facebook. What you may not be aware of is actual stories of businesses who are unknowingly suffering due to ignoring this powerful medium. I just read a story that says it all. It’s about a high-end furniture store in suburban Chicago that had been in business for 156 years. The name of the store was Porters and it was located in Racine, WI.
This store was already in business for several years when television advertising became popular and they embraced it. So much so, that today senior citizens in the area still remember Porters but younger people had no knowledge of the brand. Read the article it’s thought provoking.
